Bn2Lab - Teaching the missing life lessons.

The best productivity apps in 2023 are Google Keep, Notion, and Reminders.

These apps are rock-solid and will help you get things done.

There are so many out there. And I’ve tried a lot but I keep coming back to these as the top 3.

Let’s dive into each of them.

A summary of each of the best productivity app.

  1. Google Keep

Google Keep
Google Keep
PRO of Keep: Simple to get used to, available on all platforms, and incredibly fast to use.

CON of Keep: Lacks formatting (e.g. cannot bold text) but this is not enough to be a deal breaker.

  1. Notion

Notion
Notion
PRO of notion: Does a lot, has templates you can use for courses, college, and life. Really powerful when you get the hang of it.

CON of notion: Feels overwhelming at first. Can take a little bit of time to get used to.

  1. Reminders - iOS only

Reminders
Reminders

PRO of Reminders: Simple to use, really clean interface, works seamless with all iOS devices as expected. If you have Apple products, this may be great for you.

CON of Reminders: iOS only

Why these productivity apps?

What makes these stand out is because you can use any of them to organize your life! For example, you can:

  • capture things to do

  • plan your day out

  • set a reminder to go about them

Which productivity app is a favorite?

Google Keep is our favorite productivity app. Why?

  • It’s simple to get used to

  • It’s available on mobile (iOS, Android), Desktop

  • In a matter of minutes you can stay on top multiple areas of your life

Tip to get the most from your productivity app.

The biggest tip is this:

Choose one tool as your your best productivity app and stick to it as your single source of truth that feeds into other tools.

For me, I use Google Keep as my single source of truth that feeds into other productivity tools. This means it’s my first stop.

First stop for:

  • Grocery list
  • Journaling
  • Workout plans
  • Strategy for finances
  • Netflix shows to checkout
  • Any random thought that crosses my mind

Each of these have their own labels so capturing things usually takes a few taps on my phone or three clicks on a chrome tab that’s always open with Google Keep.

Here’s an example shot from mine where I use labels to keep track of things.

Pick your own best productivity app and start.

It’s great to do research but don’t overdo it.

Just pick one.

Then continue to explore as time goes on and see how it fits you. If it doesn’t, skip it and move to the next.
